A story about travelling through the area around Luxor to see some amazing sights.

Day 5, tuesdag 13 december 2016.

Program today: Hatshepsut and some private tombs.

Decided to get up again at 5 am today, my last day, so that we would most probably be the first at the temple of Hatshepsut, something that seemed interesting to me personally, for the reason that I wanted to see the sun rise from this temple, which is facing east.

Temple of Hatshepsut.

At 6 o'clock we arrived at the temple and as expected we were the first, we even had to wait a while until the ticket seller was there, but that aside.
The order of the recordings is, first the arrival and then from the third terrace down to the entrance.

I am glad that I have also been here, but we are not there yet, just before the temple complex are a number of private tombs and of course we will also look at them.

Again I´ve seen enough tombs I think, time to return to the hotel and then just a briefly visit to the nice neighbors of Olette to say bye.
On the way to the hotel we quickly put the site directly next to the hotel on the picture.

Amenhotep III

After spending a pleasant half an hour with the neighbors it was time to exchange all the photos and that took quite some time given the number.
At 1500 o'clock we were back at Mohamed, because we had an appointment with Kyria, which I only knew through Facebook so far.
She turned out to be a very nice woman with a passion for Egypt and it was very nice to meet her, I'm a bit jealous of her because in March 2017 she goes back to Egypt, Kyria have a lot of fun then and that you may see beautiful things with Paul.

Around half past five we were served our farewell dinner and after a few drinks it was time to go to the hotel, because since my flight is tomorrow morning at 5:50 am I had to leave at 0200 hours, so a short night, but after having seen so many beautiful things and having met so many interesting people, that is absolutely no problem.
Olette and Mahmood, thank you very much for this unforgettable journey and hopefully we will meet again soon.

The end.
